About the MARCHING RAMS:
The MARCHING RAMS are one of the most prominent ensembles at Grayslake Central High School due to their performance at each home varsity football game. The Marching Rams play pep music along with their performance during the halftime show to provide entertainment and boost spirit of the stands, the student section, and the players themselves. All band students, whether in Concert Band, Symphonic Band, or Wind Ensemble, are required to join the Marching Rams during the fall season. The Marching Rams also perform their Annual Band-O-Rama concert, and march in parades for Grayslake Days, Homecoming, Memorial Day, and more. Along with at halftime for football games, the Marching Rams perform their show at the Grayslake North, Marengo, and Sandwich marching competitions.
Music and warm-ups for our new season can be downloaded and printed by clicking here. You will need to use the log in information that is given to you on the first day of Marching Band Camp. Recordings of all GCHS Marching Band Music can be found by clicking the MEDIA tab at the top of the page. Our show for next season has not been chosen yet, however when you receive the music, your goal is to practice it before camp starts.
Every year we add multiple new stands tunes as well as new stands “shorts/cheer." Hard copies of the music will be handed out in the summer mailer or during the first week of band camp. The primary focus for you during the summer should be to learn the show and parade music as well as any warm-up exercises that we have!
