Sectionals information
Sectional Guidelines
- Sectionals are a part of the U-46 Instrumental Music Curriculum. They are a requirement for all instrumental music students. Sectionals supply the necessary time for students to receive not only valuable and individualize feedback, but also an opportunity for teachers to assess student growth.
- Students will be given a copy of their required sectional schedule by the second week of school.
- Students are expected to attend their sectional at the require times
- Sectionals are scheduled on a rotation, so that they have 1 sectional per week at a different time each week. This way, students will only miss a class once or twice a month.
- Students are not allowed to miss PE or TESTS/EXAMS for Sectionals
- Students are required to make up all missed work, and communicate with their classroom teachers
- It is the students’ responsibility to contact their director (Ms. Larson or Mr. Geller) at least 24 hour in advance if they cannot attend their scheduled sectional.
- It is the students’ responsibility to communicate their sectional schedule with their classroom teachers in advance of their scheduled times.
- Students who cannot attend their weekly sectional will be required to schedule a makeup sectional with their director (Ms. Larson or Mr. Geller).
